Figurine head

This head was originally part of an ancient Greek female figurine. She has full lips, a broad nose, and a complicated hairstyle. Figurine heads were very collectable in the Victorian period, and the collector decided to set this one onto a wooden plinth for display. Unfortunately no records survive to show where it was found or who donated it to the museum.
