Crocodile amulet

In ancient Egypt crocodiles were a constant danger to people living near the Nile. This amulet may have been worn to protect the wearer from harm.
It belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Montague who collected over 800 classical archaeological objects, which he bequeathed to the museum on his death.
