Brahminy kite

This specimen is from Sri Lanka and was collected by Miss GP Downall. Brahminy kites are more scavengers than hunters but will actively hunt for small animals including frogs, crabs, fish, insects and injured birds. They are found close to wetlands, mangroves and mudflats.
