Horn cover

The deity Parvati is shown here as Gauri, “the Golden Lady” and this item was made to adorn the horn of a holy cow. Hindu scripture informs us that cows offer people the gifts of life and should be protected. Historic Indian agriculture was largely dependent upon cattle until British economic forces changed this. Height 107mm.
