Spear thrower
Notes from a research visit by Gaye Sculthorpe, Curator of Oceanic Collections at the British Museum, 8-9/07/2015:
This is a very old specimen from Western Australia, south-west Western Australia. A wood peg is attached with resin. Its handle has a large piece of spinifex resin attached. The upper side has a split that has been repaired with resin and appears to have red ochre upon it. Likely 19th century.
