Helmet
A warrior’s helmet is called kabuto. It is traditionally composed of two sections; the bowl (hachi) and the nape-guard (shikoro). The hachi had developed different shapes by the 1500s and were constructed using several metallic plates; best described as a multi-plate helmet bowl. This particular version is a late example.
