She wears a pink square neck dress with white sleeves. Her brown hair is tied back. John White Abbott (1763-1851) was an artist, surgeon and apothecary, who based himself in Exeter. Abbott displayed his work at the Royal Academy, and focussed on portraying landscapes of Devon, the Lake District and Scotland.
