Sir Thomas White

Thomas White was a citizen and merchant taylor of London and became Lord Mayor in 1553. He settled, by a deed of 1566, an inheritance of £104 a year to be employed in charitable loans, Exeter and 23 other towns being entitled in turn to receive the benefits.
