Oil lamp with crescent moon
Roman oil lamps were most often made from pottery but they were also made in more expensive materials such as bronze. This metal oil lamp is smaller than many ceramic lamps, probably because it is made from a more expensive material, and the handle is in the form of a crescent moon.
