Viaduct over the Erme at Ivybridge
‘Viaduct over the Erme at Ivybridge’ by William Dawson (1790-1877), 1848. This watercolour depicts the Ivybridge railway viaduct over the River Erme. The viaduct is one of five between Totnes and Plymouth, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. After line conversion, the original viaduct was replaced in the 1890s.
