Amphora neck and handle
This fragment of Roman amphora (shown on the left in the photograph) was used for transporting olive oil to the Roman fortress in Exeter. It was found in rubbish dumps at a military storage depot just outside the fortress. The handle is stamped ‘BROCODV’.
