Aryballos

This aryballos (small oil jug) has a round base, round body, one vertical handle and a tall flared lip. It is decorated with incised horizontal bands and hatched triangles. The surface shows signs of wear, and the lip is chipped. Its provenance suggests it was excavated by Sir Alfred Biliotti during his important work at the acropolis of Cameiros between 1852 and 1864.
