Spur-winged lapwing: spur-winged plover
The spur-winged lapwing has a small claw (spur) on the inside of each wing. It nests in solitary pairs or loose colonies. Outside of the breeding season flocks of up to 15 (occasionally up to 200) individuals may occur. This specimen was collected by Sir John Walrond.
