Boy’s naval suit jacket
This jacket and waistcoat take their inspiration from the midshipman’s uniform. The dark blue wool jackets with stand up collar and brass buttons were popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries for boys of all ages. Girls would wear sailor style dresses with broad collars. This outfit was worn by a C. de M. Lucas, his name is written inside.
