Election dish
Production of English Delftware election dishes of this type seems to have started in the early 1750s. The Bristol pottery seems to have specialised in election wares for West Country parliamentarians. This dish probably relates to Denys Rolle, elected MP for Barnstaple in 1761 and 1768.
