Printing block, ironmonger

This is one of twenty wooden printing blocks containing metal images of scientific or engineering equipment. They were donated to the museum in 1928 by J Damerel who owned an ironmongers shop at 161 Sidwell Street in Exeter. It is likely they were used for printing catalogues of equipment for sale in his shop.
