Rennes-type jug

This jug was recovered in fragments from a shallow wicker-lined well in Exeter. It was made at Château de Bretagne in the arrondissement of Rennes in France and is the only known complete example found in England.
The Exeter: a Place in Time (EAPIT) project has recently carried out research on medieval French pottery from Exeter.
