Woolly rhinoceros humerus

This sub-fossil humerus was excavated at Levaton Cave in the parish of Torbryan. This cave is described as a hyena prey depot. Many of the prey remains show gnaw marks and some are still articulated. Hyena hunting as a pack would be capable of killing a young rhino such as this one and dragging it back to the cave.
