Magic Lantern Slide: The Laxey Wheel, Isle of Man

This slide shows the Laxey wheel on the Isle of Man, it is a large wheel with a large column with stairs leading up. This shot is covered by foliage witch hides the wheel a great deal, fortunately this is a very well lit environment allowing the audience to see the full image.

William Weaver Baker was a keen local amateur photographer and his collection of lantern slides offer a rare glimpse of Exeter and the surrounding area in the early twentieth century.
