Magic Lantern Slide: Peterborough - Old Town Hall and Cross

This slide by William Weaver Baker shows the seventeenth century Guildhall in Peterborough. The arched area was used as a marketplace while the building above was used as the Town Hall until 1933. It was also known as a butter cross, displaying the arms of Charles II.
