Magic Lantern Slide: Christchurch Priory
This photographic slide by William Weaver Baker shows the Norman turret which forms part of the exterior of Christchurch Priory in Dorset. The turret is highly decorative and the photograph shows the four separate bands of decoration encircling it. It is located to the north of the Priory and was built between 1090-1120. This is one of a set of slides Baker took of Christchurch Priory, mostly focused on architectural features he found interesting.
