Magic Lantern Slide: Hall of the Vicars Choral, Exeter

This photographic slide by William Weaver Baker shows the hall of the Vicar’s Choral in Exeter. The hall was used by the college of junior clergy of the cathedral and the wooden panelling shown in the photograph dates from the early sixteenth century. This slide is important as it records the hall prior to the bombing of Exeter during the Second World War, in which the hall was destroyed by fire in 1942.
