This magic lantern slide shows a portrait of a kitten. As well as scenic views of Devon, William Weaver Baker enjoyed photographing his pets. He called this series of slides ‘Kitten Studies’.

William Weaver Baker was a keen local amateur photographer and his collection of lantern slides offer a rare glimpse of Exeter and the surrounding area in the early twentieth century.
