Oil bottle

This is an ancient Greek aryballos or oil jar. The glaze is chipped above the foot revealing the orange underlying clay and is decorated with horizontal and diagonal white bands. It has been in the museum’s collection for many years but it was not recorded where it was found or who donated it to the museum.
