Magic Lantern Slide: Misericord. Bird Sirens. Early English. Exeter
This image is from a collection of glass lantern slides created by Mr Weaver Baker in 1911. It shows one of the medieval misericord seats in Exeter Cathedral carved in the form of ‘bird sirens’, a man and a woman with bird bodies.
