Parrying shield

Notes from a research visit by Gaye Sculthorpe, Curator of Oceanic Collections at the British Museum, 8-9/07/2015:

33/1953/27b – shield, northwestern Australia, found in large region. Decorated with red and white ochre, reverse side is red with ochre and vertical fluting parallel lines, front has a parallel zigzag pattern. Manchester University Museum comparison #527 in Lewis, 1977.
