Club

New Caledonia mushroom headed club. These clubs offer a more practical fighting tool than the bird headed clubs, and show more connection with other club carving traditions of Melanesia. They have a much wider diversification in the Pacific, with similar clubs being produced in Vanuatu and Fiji/Tonga. They have a distinctly phallic appearance and are directly associated with the owner’s virility.
