Tetradrachma coin of Nero
Although this coin dates from the time the Second Legion Augusta were based in Exeter, this type of coin was not commonly circulated in Britain. They are most commonly found in the eastern Mediterranean, and it is possible this coin was lost by a collector in the recent past.
