Offering cup

This ancient pottery vessel has been in the museum collections for many years, but it was not recorded where it was found or who donated it to the museum. In the 1950s it was suggested it had been found in Cyprus but this is now uncertain. Research suggests it is more likely to be an ancient Egyptian offering cup used at a temple site.
