Magic Lantern Slide: Baghdad workers

This photographic slide by Alfred Oliver Rowden shows a local man very heavily laden with a large bale on his back. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
