Magic Lantern Slide: Cloud formation in sky over camp

This photograph by Alfred Oliver Rowden records a cloud-filled sky. The pink colour is due to a tinted lantern plate, rather than an inherent feature of the photographic image. Rowden was in Mesopotamia during the First World War and was not sent home until 1919 or 1920. He photographed daily scenes like this to record his experiences.
