Oil lamp

This lamp was described by its collector as ‘By Lucius. Salmon-coloured. Length 4.2 in. On bottom LVCIVS. From Roman tombs at NERVINA (between Ventimiglia and Bordighera.) Purchased on the spot’. It belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Montague who collected over 800 classical archaeological objects, which he bequeathed to the museum on his death.
