Bracelet
This bracelet is a beautiful example of the type of glass jewellery worn in the Mediterranean region in the early medieval period. Technologies and skills developed in both the Roman and Islamic worlds fused to create colourful pieces like this.
This example was found in Tripoli, Libya and it belonged to Lieutenant Colonel LAD Montague who collected over 800 classical archaeological objects, which he bequeathed to the museum on his death.
