Wrist guard

A wrist guard, or bracer, used to prevent the bowstring from chafing the wrist when shooting an arrow. The two rectangular perforations at each side of this bone wrist guard are for a strap.

Acquired during the voyage of the HMS Blossom under Captain Beechey, 1825-8
