Envelope

Small samples of barkcloth from Tonga were likely by Lieutenant Fabien on 19 November 1835. The samples contained within this included decorated pieces and a piece of plain barkcloth with the fibres slightly pulled apart so that the observer could better understand how barkcloth was made.
