Weka
The weka is another example of a New Zealand bird that is not capable of flight. It is partial to shiny objects and has a habit of stealing spoons and even watches. They are not frightened of humans and if you are wearing a shiny ring will come and peck at your hand. from the collection of Sir Wilfred Peek.
