Magic Lantern Slide: St Peter, Exeter

This image is from a collection created by Mr WA Walburn of ‘Heavytree’ Exeter. The lecture comprises photographs of book plates, historic maps and other illustrations, and tells the history of the city of Exeter. This photograph shows the corner of North Street in Exeter, with Holman Ham the chemists occupying the shop premises. In a niche above the shop stands the figure of St Peter trampling the devil, which is now in the museum’s collections.
