Gold weight

The Asante used these small weights, or mbrammuo, as a standard for weighing out specific amounts of gold and gold dust. While the weights of the objects were standardised, their shape could be simple or complex. This weight appears to resemble a fan, decorated with a spiral and and a looped edge.
