Edwin Beer Fishley inherited the Fishley pottery 1865. He responded to the popular Art Pottery aesthetics of the time, blended with North Devon slip traditions.
He was much admired by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada who called him ‘the Last Peasant Potter’.
