Untitled: anemone: coral

This chalk drawing by PH Gosse shows the detail of the stinging cells of several anemones and corals. Sagartia was a genus of anemone that Gosse himself first described in 1855 (bottom right). Caryophyllia, Corynactis and Bunodes are genera of stony coral that closely resemble anemones.
