Currant squirter
The currant squirter, or baked-bean sea squirt (Dendrodoa grossularia) is common on UK lower rocky shores. This chalk drawing by PH Gosse shows the organism’s developmental cycle with the adult form in the middle. Gosse illustrates this species on plate 34 of his book ‘A year at the shore’.
