Peregrine falcon

The peregrine falcon can reach speeds of 200 mph in a stoop (hunting dive) making it one of the fastest creatures on the planet. This species was on the brink of extinction due to the use of crop pesticides, but its numbers are recovering. This specimen was collected by Miss K A Lloyd.
