Vase with incised decoration of finches and pear blossom
The decoration on this later Victorian vase by the Martin Brothers shows closely observed birds, enjoying a branch filled with blossom. It is unlike a lot of the other Martin Brothers pieces in RAMM which are more organic in shape and loosely patterned. RAMM has over sixty pieces of Martin ware in the collection and every one has a different design.
