Feasting spoon
This spoon has the head of an unidentified animal carved on the handle. The process of making dishes, bowls and spoons from goat or sheep horn involved steaming and shaping in a mould before carving. The Kwa’kwala work for abalone shell is ikt’sgm.
This spoon may have come from Fort Rupert, Quatsino, Nimpkish areas.
