Magic Lantern Slide: Mol's Coffee House, Exeter
This slide by William Weaver Baker shows Mol’s Coffee House, No. 1 Cathedral Close in Exeter. It was built in the late sixteenth century, but the Dutch gable facade was addition in the mid to late nineteenth century. This building is one of the most frequently drawn and photographed buildings in the city. Weaver Baker mainly took images of buildings and objects in Exeter, having resided there for at least 30 years.
