Magic Lantern Slide: Prodigal Son - the old and new shoes, the best robe

This slide shows part of the Bible story of the Prodigal Son, and is associated with two other slides in the museum’s collection (106/1981/2/9 and 106/1981/2/11). The sculpture seen in the photograph was made in 1875 by George Tinworth, and donated to the West Australian Art Gallery in Perth in 1935. This slide is a photograph of a book illustration of that object, and is part of a collection containing Christian messages and images which was donated to the museum in 1981.
