Magic Lantern Slide: Prodigal Son - the old coat, music and dancing

This slide shows part of the Bible story of the Prodigal Son, and is associated with two other slides in the museum’s collection (106/1981/2/9 and 106/1981/2/10). The sculpture seen in the photograph was made in 1875 by George Tinworth, and donated to the West Australian Art Gallery in Perth in 1935. This slide is a photograph of a book illustration of that object, and is part of a collection containing Christian messages and images which was donated to the museum in 1981.
