Bile Beans

Bile Beans were a laxative tonic, it was marketed as a ‘cure-all’ and promised to “disperse unwanted fat” and “purify and enrich the blood”, as well as treating headaches and digestive complaints. First produced in 1890s, Bile Beans continued to be sold until the 1980s despite little evidence as to proven health benefits.
