Trefid spoon

A spoon from Mr R Holbeche Corfield’s collection.

‘Trefid’ refers to the shape of the handle which has been split into 3.

Between 1977 and 1995 this collection of 96 spoons was on loan to RAMM. In 1995 the museum was able to purchase the collection with support from the V&A Purchase Grant Fund, Reynolds Chard bequest, National Art Collections Fund and National Heritage Memorial Fund.
