Lekythos

Jars like this were used in ancient Greece for storing and pouring perfumed oil, often in association with burials. This jar is decorated with two men who are dancing, and another who is seated. Its provenance suggests it was excavated by Sir Alfred Biliotti during his important work at the acropolis of Cameiros between 1852 and 1864.
